“Through infusing blues, psychedelic, alternative and indie rock genres with lyrical folk ties, Blue Oaks is an ever changing amalgam of sound and vibe.”

Founded by Brendan Stone in 2007, with material ranging from their folk/blues inspired debut single "Hit By a Train from New York City Blues" in 2013, to a full length album exploring the darker side of the human condition "Blue Oaks” in 2017.

With Stephen Hendry joining on guitar, Tom Weeks on bass and Roman Anderson on Drums, Blue Oaks released their first live single “Ghosts” with “Day of the Lords” in September of 2020, recorded live to reel to reel tape.

“Blue Oaks is once again evolving, with darker undercurrents and lush texture heavily calling to mind Stone Roses, Sonic Youth, and Dandy Warhols in Ghosts."

Brendan and Stephen have continued forward self producing a wave of new singles at home during the pandemic shutdown late 2020 through 2023.

Forthcoming singles “Light”, “Bloom”, “Rose Coloured Dreams” and “Drown” will be released over the next year.
